I have a 2011 HL and had my phone connected but all of a sudden it does not work. i can see phone calls coming in, but when i try to answer it hangs up. same thing with outgoing calls. i can dial out but hangs up in a matter of seconds. i tried deleting the phone and then re entering it and same thing. anyone else experiencing this? any suggestions will be helpful!
There's a menu item listed in the 2012 manual for resetting the system. It's listed as a voice command: "Setup" then "System Setup" then "Reset Setting". I've never tried it. I would assume the 2011 would be similar.
I tried doing that and there is no system setup on the 2011. only phone setup and there is no option for a reset. I hope this is covered by some kind of warranty. very frustrated!
Are you still under the factory warranty? If so, it's covered. The first thing they'll suggest is that you try pairing a different phone to eliminate your phone as the problem. Sounds like to already did that test. Been there, done that recently with a non-Nav unit where our bluetooth had problems. Thus the reason we're on radio #3.
I had a similar issue and had to delete the "HANDSFREE" bluetooth from my phone and then re-pair it as a new device. Annoying, but it worked. Hope this helps.
I just had mine completely forget the pairing. I rebooted the phone while the system was on and couldn't get a connection afterward. When I tried to select a BT device, the system said none were paired. Maybe in my attempts at a connection, I accidentally caused the pairing to be deleted. I wish there was a kill switch to power-cycle BT without turning off the ignition.

Look again. I had a hard time finding it on my 2012 HL and finally discovered the secret after doing a search here.
1. With the audio system set to a mode other than BT Audio, press the talk switch.
2. Say "Setup".
3. This is where the trick comes in. Instead of speaking the next command, go to the tuner knob on the audio system and cycle through the options. You should see System Setup. There is no corresponding voice command. Press the tuner knob with that option displayed.
4. Cycle through the next group of options with the knob and you should find "Reset Settings". If you press the tuner knob while that option is displayed, the system will reinitialize.
I just got brave and pushed the knob. The nice lady told me what would be erased and it does include phone book entries. I then chickened out and cancelled.
I'm at a loss. I had no choice and reset the system but to no avail. i paired my phone once again and tried to make a call and the bluetooth just turns off. don't know what to do anymore
