Could you please confirm that no any other option can be customized via mvci tech stream. You probably can see some data from various car systems but nothing else can be customized, right?

In MY vehicle this is all the EASY factory customizations. Again I have a BASE model, so MANY options are NOT available to me.
If I had access to a fully loaded vehicle then I could show you ALL there is, but I don't so.....

If you are up to reflashing eproms on the ECUs then you can change just about anything you can dream of.
However that's not my brand of tea, so you will have to look elsewhere for instructions on that

 

On the light control, sensitivity. I'm wondering what light 1 and light 2 means... are they referring to brightness medium and high?

 

I too have the base model (2014 LE). When I lock the windows from driver door, kids in the passengers cannot open or close the windows, which is as expected and designed. Except that the driver side is also locked out. So I have to unlock and then roll up or down.

I was wondering if this is the same on your car? Also I didn't see anything in the ECU to enable disable such (?)

Really?!? Thats odd, I tried mine and im pretty sure I still have control of atleast both front windows when they are locked. I will double check later.


Woops, just noticed were in the 2nd gen forum. I followed a link and didnt even bother to see where we were.

 

funman1, do your Power Window settings actually work? I just set mine through Techstream (also on a 2010 w/o smartkey, but SE trim), but they disappointingly don't do anything (even though other changes I made clearly take effect).

 

^which setting? The hold the unlock to lower all windows did not work on mine after I changed it in TIS, it only opens the sunroof.

 

I enabled all three options in Power Window. I get no response at all from holding the key in lock or unlock in the driver's door, and none of the windows (including sunroof) move when I hold unlock on the remote. The only difference I observe is that with the feature enabled, holding unlock on the remote makes the vehicle beep after a couple seconds, right about when the windows should be starting to go down. If I turn the feature off, that beep doesn't occur.

So it's almost like one subsystem (wireless remote receiver?) is signaling correctly but another subsystem (window controls?) isn't behaving, perhaps because it's turned off along with the vast majority of the car when the ignition is off. Maybe there's an extra fuse or something that needs to be installed to make this work?

 

Sadly this ECU is not powered up when the car is off so that feature DOES NOT work on 2nd gens

I have purchased a techstream kit, software and cables and should get it next week.
I have a fully loaded Kluger Grande and intend to customise as required. Along the way I will try to document the options in the same way Funman1 has in the OP.

 

I got the cable and Techstream today and will install on the Wyse tonight.
Apparently the port is under the steering wheel.
Is it difficult to get the plastic shroud off?
If not I'll have a go in the dark.

 

You don't have to remove anything. Take a peek with a flashlight, but once you get the hang of it you can plug it in without looking. The awkward part is trying to use a laptop when the steering wheel is in the way.

 

The OBDII port is above where your feet are. Between the bottom of the lower dash and the heater duct facing straight down. Not on the steering column...or at least on US models.

You can unplug the port from the metal bracket its on and reposition it so its not pointing down with something in. Its what I did as I have a bluetooth adapter plugged in 24/7 for my phone app.


Found an old picture, yellow box is where it normally sits, blue box is where mine is now. Obviously mirror the image side to side since yall drive on the wrong side of the road

Life is conspiring to keep me from my tinkering, I'll try and get my head around customizing this week some time.

 

Any chance or the OP updating the images in the first post? I can't see any and figure it's because of some hosting site that broke or changed over the years.

Have any of you tried the cheaper Carista to make some of these changes with?

 

Many people have used it and it works well, but you never "own it" it's only a subscription service.
