2008 RSE Region Free Hack

Hi,
Does anyone know how to make the DVD player region free?
We want to play some DVD's of Fireman Sam (region 4) for our twin grandchildren and would like to make the player region free, so they can watch them when traveling.

Who makes the DVD player for Toyota?

Thanks

Fireman Sam is truly nice.

I bump this up to see if anyone worked out what brand is the DVD for the kids. I wanna buy some wireless speakers for them.

Did anyone ever manage to figure this out?

I have imported a 2008 Highlander Limited overseas and desperately need to be able to unlock the DVD region.

easiest thing to do is to copy and burn a region free copy of the dvd.

Could you explain the process for the members out there who aren't very computer savvy? We've had a lot of questions about burning the disk for the nav update and I thought it would be great to post any burn info up to this thread as well. Thanks.

the following is the easiest free method of copy and burning.

download
DVDShrink & Imgburn (if you dont have Nero burnign software already installed.)

DVDShrink in most cases will allow you to copy the DVD onto your hard drive as an .iso file with the encryption removed and be region free. If the DVD that you have is encrypted with the latest encryption, you will have to d/l the latest trial version of anydvd to circumvent it.

next use Imgburn to burn the .iso file onto a blank dvd.

for the navigation dvd, use Imgburn to make an .iso onto the hard drive and use Imgburn again to burn the iso onto a dvd.

if the above is not clear, the easiest thing is to into the imgburn website for further instruction. http://www.imgburn.com/
