I just purchased moldings for my 2008 Highlander and is color coded (Blizzard Pearl). The color of the molding seems to be a little darker than the car. Do anyone know if it is supposed to be like that. Otherwise, I will return them. Thanks.

Been a few months now - does the color difference still show... any news on the problem being fixed and after market Price????
Do not install that garbage. I went through the same deal and had ordered my mouldings from trdparts4u.com. They came and not only are they darker than my truck, but they had speckles and streaks in the paint AND the moulding are way too small in width for the side of the truck. They look like they are made for a car. I PROMPTLY returned them after dealing with their nasty rep "barb" who denied everything and charged me a restocking fee for theur defective garbage. I then ordered REAL mouldings from sportwing.com and they are absolutely gorgeous, right color, right size, formed ends and flawless paint. Do yourself a favor and either wit for the official toyota moulding that will be available in January, or get the sportwing aftermarkets ones, but whatever you do, do NOT get the garbage sold by the dealers in the midwest. They use a different vendor and haved zero quality control.

Thank You VERY much for the info - looked at Sportwing and it looks good - I might wait until Jan to see how different the Toyota molding is - until then just have to park in the back 40.... Thanks,,,

I had the dealer install the moldings when I bought my Highlander in mid-October in Mass. I'm not sure why dealers in other parts of the country have to wait until January, but the moldings that are on my car seem to be holding up well so far, with no adhesion problems.

How did you OEM/Dealer installed body side compare to these from Sportwing on ebay?? $120 shipping included

The OEM body side moldings look very similar to those. I can post a pic of my car later, but if you go to toyota.com and build a Highlander, on the accessories tab you can see what they look like. My dealer charged me $199 installed, which is the same price on the window sticker on other Highlanders that I've seen on other dealer lots.
