Research

It is just a matter of time for somebody. If you don't have a subscription to the TIS site, I highly recommend getting one. At least for a month so you can read up on things. I am still reading but have yet to get my laptop into the ECU yet. I was used to a Vag-Com on my VW, which I traded for the Highlander.

What are you interested in doing ? I just installed a speed pulse generator with a toggle switch and it allows your passenger to input phone numbers and addresses while you drive. It works great.

Depends on what you need, if by hack you mean make it work the way it should, then I did this Anyone tried this Nav Override and it works well and was the best I could find so far. www.coastaletech.com makes the best units, but doesn't support the new highlander. I have used their stuff in previous vehicles and it works well and it nicely integrated.

Any idea why Coastal Tech has skipped the 08-09 HL for their Nav fix hardware? And do they say whether they are planning to support it in the future?

Many members have reported talking to them and they have said it is coming, but my guess is that the nav unit is slightly different than most of the other vehicles and is unique to just the highlander as many of their products work on several vehicles, highlander seems to be the only one excluded.

Here is the link. I made mine following the instructions and then I have a PDF document showing how to install. http://www.pinemountainfirearms.com/...peedPulse.aspx . I could make one more cause I have extra parts, pretty simple. It takes longer to make, then it does to install.
