The dreaded numbie question..has there been any problems with the 08 Highlander?

i have over on my HL and im strting to notice a sqweeking noise coming from the front of the dash where to windshiled meets the dash but it seems worse when its cold out and the its been sitting for awhile, but other then that i've had no major problems aside from looseing features on the nav and bluetooth screen while driving.

I believe you have the same issue that I and others have had. Something to do with insulating tape and clips used during assembly. Your dash will be removed and re-sealed, etc.

How long did it take the dealer to get the job done and did you get a loaner car??

I did get a loaner. Took 3 days. If you have the same issue. It was an intermittent ticking/tapping sound which had the cadence of a crack smoking monkey doing morse code. It drove us crazy. I went to great lengths to record the sound on video tape while I drove to make sure my dealer heard it.

So far so good.
