Maybe I missed this part in the manual, but is there a way to reduce the ring volume when using the Bluetooth feature? Everytime it rings I swear I have heart failure! LOL
I know you can adjust the guidance volume, but the ringer is where I'm stuck.
Thanks

Use the volume buttons on the steering wheel when the phone is ringing to adjust the volume.

The Bluetooth Nanny volume..took me a while to discover this is part of the System Setup menu.
Setup-->System Setup-->Guidance Vol
Thanks Summerwind...It must be something in the water here...Doh...!!
I guess the "set-up---> System Setup---->Guidance Vol is in the small back-up display..
I don't have a Nav unit. Adjusting the volume as the call comes in is a mute point...by then I've already been decibled to death by the initial ring or 2..lol
Summerwind is this menu your referring to accessed from the radio readout...
Thanks for helping a slow learner here...

Refer to page 328 in the owners manual
All of the setup messages show up on the radio display. (1)
Sooo. turn the radio on and press the "talking head" button (item 4 on page 329) on the right side of the steering wheel and say "Setup" You will see Setup displayed on the radio display.
You can press the "talking head" and say "System Setup" or you can turn the right radio knob (number 4 in the referenced page) until you see System Setup appear on the radio display and then press the knob in.
You then can press the "talking head" again and say Guidance Volume or do the turn the dial and press it routine.
you will see a scale or a number the you can decrease the volume by turning the right knob counter clockwise and press it to lock it in.
I set mine to "2"
The Bluetooth nanny will say "System Setup will be set to this guidance volume" and will go back to the System setup menu
After you do this the system goes back to system setup.
Press the "on hook" button (item 2 on page 329)on the left side of the steering wheel to get out of setup
OK if you succeeded the Bluetooth Nanny volume should be lower
The ring volume and the incoming talk volume are controlled by the + and - buttons (item 1 on page 329) on the left of the steering wheel.
When the intial ring starts you have to press the - volume button to reduce the volume BEFORE you answer the call
Same for the incoming talk volume..You have to press the - volume or + volume WHILE you are talking
There are three volume settings to deal with and the way you set them is not that intuitive so don't feel bad if it takes awhile to figure it out.
I think the process was developed by AA as it seems to be a twelve step process to success.
