Hi all,

I have a new Toy Highlander '08 Limited. I just discover out there is a problem and I don't know whether any of you have the same issue.

I use the remote control to lock the car. Alarm of the car is turned on. But I still open the back door (5th door) by pressing the latch and open it up.

I'm about to call Toy dealer's technician for checking out this issue.

If any of you have same issue or experience about the problem, please advise.

Thats the beauty of the system....Even though the vehicle is locked and alarmed...you can press the tailgate open button and it disengages the alarm so that the rear door (Tailgate) can open. I would be calling Toyota if it didn't work that way...

Lock the HL

Take the SmartKey out of your pocket and put it away from the car

Bet you can not open the 5th door

There is a SmartKey antenna in the 5th door.
The door will not open without the SmartKey in the area in front of the door.
