Can I use 265/65/17 Tires on 08 Sport?

I have the original 17" rims and tires from the 2004 Sequoia I traded in for my 08 Sport HL that came stock with 19" wheels. I would like to swap the 19" for the 17" which I know are a tad bigger (according to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html ) so my speedometer will be slightly off, but other than that are there drawbacks? Safety issues? I know the 17" tires will ride softer and be better in the snow, right?

I am actually looking for a "spare" set of rims/tires, one for winter one for summer.
