Mpg

What MPG are you folks getting in your HLs?
Please state 2WD, AWD and city or highway %, how many miles you have total on your vehicle.

Thanks.

We were right at 21.5 with 50/50 city/highway driving before our HL was wrecked. Had 767 miles on odometer.

I have 950 miles on my 4wd Sport and have tracked my mileage on all three fills so far:

18.82 80% city
15.6 100% City
18.14 50/50

I figured MPG the old way, miles driven/gallons of gas

In all three fills, the trip computer reading for MPG was so close that I think I will just start using the computer. In my old Sequoia the trip computer was way off. They must have improved the software!

My experience has been pretty much the same so far. I've got 1700 miles on the clock now and the only thing I would add is that on the highway I'm getting 21-22. I haven't had the opportunity to take a longer trip yet to really see what it will do, but so far it's not bad.

Yeah, I have yet to go on a long trip (we go to VT every weekend in the winter). I just changed the air filter to a Toyota TRD, and am changing the oil today to 100% synthetic 5w-30 Amsoil. Should give me a few MPG better.

We only have about 600 miles on our 4WD limited and the computer is saying 20.5MPG.

We live in the country in MD so I would say 85% is country roads, highways, and interstate. Not too much city driving.

Hopefully after a few hundred miles it will improve. I need to check it against the miles per fill up to ensure the computer is reading close.

Currently have about 1100 miles on our AWD HL and around town (lots of stop and go) it's getting about 15.5 mpg which I find somewhat disappointing. I'm no lead foot. On the Highway it does 21-22 mpg. On one trip of 100 miles highway it averaged 22.8 mpg at 60-65 mph. Next week it goes in for an oil change and will drop Mobil 1 (5W-30) Synthetic in. I don't expect much in the way of increased MPG...

Winter gas formulation causes a slight hit in MPG as well as gas with Ethenol in it.

Might have some influence on the MPG you are seeing currently.

I don't have enough mileage on mine yet to get a true MPG.
Waiting for a couple thousand miles to see if it improves.

Mine so far is in the 18.6 range. with mostly city driving.
