Remote Start on a Limted?

Has anybody been able to get aftermarket remote starts to work with the Limited and its push button start? I was at first thinking about just going with the factory remote start but I read two things that sounded pretty bad to me:

a) the range is only 80'. can anybody confirm this? my aftermarket remote start that I have on my other car works from a 1/4 mile away so I've gotten used to being able to start the car from inside a restuarant, store, etc. plus it has a 2-way feature to let me know for sure that the start worked.

b) the car shuts off when you get in it with the smart key if you had remote started it. could this really be the case? i would hope I could start it ahead of time, then later just walk up, get in and drive off. if the car shuts itself off every time I actually get in that is unacceptable.

Thanks!

HIBoost, I just called last night on a remote starter for my Limited with Smartkey. Try going to http://www.compustar.com/main.htm Locate a dealer in your area. They DID verify that that can do it.
