anyone know if you dont have service on a regular basis at your dealer, will your extended warranty be void? i mean i dont go service my truck at the dealer because they are a rip off.
My local dealer wouldn't budge off retail for a 6yr/100K/$0 ded. Platinum warranty @ $1,350. I just paid $654 total for the same TFS warranty from Keith Zwickl at Midwest Toyota Superstore in Hutchinson, KS. 5 min. transaction, very simple. Got his contact info from the sticky thread on this forum topic. Many thanks to those of you before me who did the homework for the rest of us. Here's Keith's contact info.
On behalf of everyone who contributed to that information let me say you're welcome...glad it was helpful to you. BTW, I'll update the Warranty Information document in the sticky section with the information you provided about Keith. Be up in a day or two.

I am buying my 09 Black Highlander Sport on Monday. The dealer I am buying it from, (Toyota of Greensburgh, Pittsburgh PA), offers a lifetime warranty to any new vehicle purchase. Its unlimited miles and years, just as long as you are the original owner.

Cant complain with that.
Is it free or does it cost you up front? Still sounds like a good deal. I'm sure they are banking on folks who don't keep their vehicles over 100K miles.
I got a zero down, platinum, 7 year, 125K mile warranty (yep they just started 125K on 8/1/09) for my Highlander Hybrid. The price was $1244.
I got it from Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota, 1100 east 30th, Hutchinson ks 67502
I called him at 800-530-5789 and asked for an email quote. jerryj@midwestsuperstore.com
Jerry was about $1200 less that what my local dealer offered! They wanted $2400. I gave my local dealer a chance to match and they could only go to $1400. He said $1244 was close to cost. Who knows how close? But I never realized they had so much markup room in warranty sales.
Most online warranty resellers were not aware of the new maximum of 125,000 miles. Midwest had the lowest quote. There is an 8 year option too now. However, I thought I would burn through the miles before 8 years based on my past driving numbers.

I just talked to Keith @ Midwest in KS, and this is the quotes I got for my 2009 Highlander Base.
7yr/100k/$0 Deduct = $790 (Starting 8/1/09, $10 has been added to the original quote)
The new 125k program prices:
6yr/125k/$0 Deduct = $899
7yr/125k/$0 Deduct= $1,009
8yr/125k/$0 Deduct= $1,234
I tried to get my local dealership to match it, and they couldn't even get close to that price. I think I am going go with the 7yr/100k/$0 for $790. Hope the quotes above can help someone
Andy

Good Deal. It looks like there is an increase of $200 to cover the Hybrid Ltd package compared to your standard Highlander Ltd. I think it's worth the extra warranty. When I looked at what components are covered for the Hybrid drive train in the factory standard warranty (8 year, 100,000 miles) for Hybrid and compared all of the additional Hybrid component coverage in the Extra Care package (they are not the same), it was a no-brainer for me. There is soo much electronics in this vehicle I needed to offset the risk a little. Consumer Reports rates it their number 1 SUV and the electronics as excellent this year but 2008 was just better than average so that means something is going to go out. <grin>

Thanks to this forum I just purchased the 7 yr/100K Platinum zero deductible warranty from Jerry Johnson @ Midwest Toyota, 800.530.7589, (jerryj@midwestsuperstore.com) for $789. My vehicle is a 2009 Highlander Limited. The dealer quote was $2499 and wouldn't budge from that price. LoJack was $1699 and the dealer said my insurance company would deduct 15% from my premium if I installed it. When I called the insurance company, they told me my premium would go down $15-20 a year, hardly 15%. Jerry Johnson said he was familiar with this forum and would appreciate any business we can throw him. He also offers 7 yr/75K warranty for $534. Very nice guy to work with. I also called Troy Dietrich @ Toyota of Greenfield and his quote was $870.
I believe I overpaid for an extended warranty on my 09 highlander. Price is 1890 for Platinum 7 years and 125. Does anyone know how I would go about canceling this and getting the money back? Looks like I might be able to get it alot cheaper through another source.
