I just purchased my 08 HiHy Limited this past Tuesday and I had a couple of emails with Dan Drabek from Molle Toyota (he was the contact on the dealeship's website). I bought the 6yr/100K/0 ded Platinum for $825. He also quoted me $990 for 7yr/100K/0 ded Platinum. It was a couple of back and forth emails, and then a phone call to verify information, and voila, I got the extended warranty. My dealer offered the same for about $1500.

so his quote for $960 on 7/100/0 is not bad? What do you mean by "7yr/100K/0 ded Platinum" what does Platinum signify there?
btw how much did you pay for your vehicle? I got my hybrid limited (navigation package+moonroof/sunroof+dual climate) for $42K + TTT
Toyota Financial Services offers 3 levels of Extended Warranty: Powertrain, Gold and Platinum. Platinum is the highest level of coverage for virtually every component group in the vehicle. Check Toyota's main website and go to its Financial Services webpage, then "Go to Planning Center" and then "Vehicle Protection" for info and comparisons about all 3 types of warranty.
I paid 44K for my HiHy Limited + TTL. My vehicle has the rear DVD, nav, moonroof, front and rear auto a/c, alarm, special paint, mudguards, exhaust tip, cross bars and floor mats, wheel locks, and cargo net.
Just finalized with Neil on this. Went with the 7 year/100K miles for $800. Figured it was 25K more miles for about a penny a mile more. Neil did quick work and good e-mail contact. He will send you the request to verify and then he calls you, finalizes a credit card purchase and then mails you all the details. Final warranty is pending from TFS. Good stuff.

Also just dealt with Neil at Molle Toyota; everything smooth, still the same prices (7/75/0 Platinum @ $550) for my new 2008 HL LTD. Couldn't get Midwest to return my phone calls. Selling dealing quoted $940 for the same warranty and said his cost was $840, makes you wonder how these things end up so variable.

I just bought the 7/100k/0 ded platinum for our 2008 highlander hybrid limited for $954 from Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota. Molle and Troy wanted $990, another dealer wanted $1090, our selling dealer wanted $1300, but only if we bought it right away, because it was such a great deal, and the guy from Lexus of greenwich just laughed at me when I told him how low I wanted him to go.
Anyway, Jerry asked me to give him a plug on the internet, so here it is. Its interesting, because I had left him a message about a week ago and didn't hear back until last night. I was about to go with one of the others. I saw some other posts here that people have left messages at midwest and not heard back. So it might be worth calling them a few times if you don't hear from them, since the price seems pretty good.
I got mine through Fidelity Warranty Services with 0 deductable for 72 months/72K @ $975. Any "certified" mechanic can work on the vehicle and get reimbursed, including myself. I called the company to determine what type of "certification" would qualify and the answer was any mechanic with a Tax Payer ID number for business purposes. $400 more than Bernardi or $67/year of warranty and I can take my Highlander to practically any mechanic, including myself.
The biggest problem with third party warranty that it could go belly up before you need it. For much less then $975 you could get Toyota factory extended warranty, like most of us here, and have your car repaired not by any "certified" mechanic including yourself but by any Toyota dealer within whole warranty period .
BTW. Bernardi doesn't sale "Bernardi warranty". Bernardi sells Toyota extended warranty. Do you see the difference?
Not only as lucky 777 stated; but I payed less than 1/2 what MMS4MSU paid and got 3000 more miles. I'm scratching my head here? The TFS Platinum warranty is the way to go in my mind.
Or under $500 from Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota! (not a plug) Why pay more. I also see a lot of 7yr/100,000 etc. which is fine if you plan to own your HL that long or drive it for that many miles Personally, I'll have my wife into a new car long before 6/75K.
I had one of those 3rd Party warranties on my Supra. I hated the 'reimbursements' at least with the TFS I don't have to shell out the $$ to get it fixed. I understand what MMS4MSU is saying when he states that mechanics including myself. <wink> Good luck to you!
