'08 4X4 Base model and 3000 miles:
I'm getting what most others are reporting.
The EPA sticker seems to be pretty accurate.
Some notes though:
When I first got it in September, I got 23 MPG on the 160 mile trip home on the freeway.
Since then, I get about 22+ MPG on the highway at 75 to 80 MPH.
Suburban driving, around 19 MPG.
City, (very short trips, 10 miles or less), 17+ MPG.
On my last trip from Minneapolis, I had a slight tail wind and kept it at 70 MPH and used just over a quarter tank. My seat of the pants calculator tells me that's over 23 MPG. I drove the rest of the week in city (taking wife to work, 4 miles each way twice a day) and that drove the MPG to 21 when I filled up. The city driving was in sub freezing and single digit temps.
That said, with the cold temps I have here and the winter blend gas, I expect these numbers to go down some.
There was a post in the other mileage thread saying that mileage will start out good, then lower a bit, then at 30k or so improve. There may be some truth to that as I experienced that a bit with my 2004 Honda CRV.
Cold weather, short trips, and winter blend gas all take a toll on MPG.
Just my $.02 worth.
Cheers.
