I can confirm that the 2010 Highlander SE with non-JBL, non-nav system can be hooked up using the following:

SCC1 Sirius add on tuner
PAC ISTY571 gateway
Pac ISSR 11 Cable adapter

It was an easy install thru the glove box.

Notes: I couldn't bear to spend $60 on the sharkfin adapter, but the plug is there on the back of the radio. I ran the included antenna to the rear of the truck. The cable supplied with the Pac ISTY571 has two connectors, but you only use one.

The Pac ISTY571 includes and Aux in adapter and an Ipod adapter. I hooked mine up with the Ipod adapter and my Gen 4 Nano

I got the Pac supplies from ebay for $32 for the cable and gateway for $100 with free shipping, I picked up a SCC1 for $54 from another seller. So for less than $200 I added factory style Sirius to my truck

Just wanted to add that if you let your free 6 months expire, they will call you and offer you a year for half price. Make sure you get them to waive your activation fee.

Hey everyone, 1st post. I wanted to chime in on this most excellent thread. I could not believe my eyes when I first saw Toyotas instructions on how to install an XM/Sirius tuner. The receiver box is only the size of a paperback and they want me to remove the entire radio/ac stack and the drivers seat?

Anyway, kudos to Nowlen and Oil Burner for their explanation on just removing the glove box and mounting the receiver on the firewall behind it. The entire process only took me about 2 hours, and 35 minutes of that was trying to get that plug into the back of the head unit. The other 1.5 hours was me being really careful not to break anything.

A small hint that was not mentioned - The empty plug on the back of the head unit is right next to and on the inside of another plug that is already seated. I was having a bear of a time getting to that empty slot as it's super tight back there. However, if you remove the existing plug, you will have a MUCH easier time inserting the satellite receiver pin connector. As soon as I did that I got in connected within a minute, and was able to reinsert the other plug easily because it was on the outside. A small mirror and flashlight is a huge help.

This is all on a JBL non-navi headunit in an '08 Limited.

I have read through this thread and found some great information.
I still have some questions.

I just bought a 2008 Highlander Sport with the NAV/JBL system.
There does not appear to be any antenna installed. There is a small round antenna on the dash but I think that is the Nav antenna.

I'm confused on which kit that I need to buy. I thought XM and Sirius where completely merged at this point but I still see people buying XM receivers on this thread. I know this thread was started towards the start of the merger.
So does it matter which receiver?

WOuld this kit work? http://store.xmfanstore.com/complete...ion-lexus.html

Or this is another one I found on EBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390334461099...84.m1423.l2649

Why is there another box with these kits?

Also I wanted to install either the Performance or Coastal Tech Lockpick at the same time.
Anyone know which is easiest to install and works the best?
