Canada 2009 HL heated seat question

I have an 09 base Highlander, which I recently bought used from the US. It has heated seats, which considering I'm in Winnipeg Canada in January is a big plus. I'm not positive, but I suspect that the heaters are after market because the power switches are in a different location and a different type than what is shown in the manual. If they are after market, they may have been sourced from Toyota as I've seen the same type of power switch on a HL that a dealer had installed seat heaters on prior to delivering the new vehicle. The power switches are round, very low profile, with a high (yellow lamp) and low (green lamp) setting. Recently, when set to high, the driver's side lamp blinks yellow but no heat. When set to low, blinking green but no heat. Passenger side doesn't work at all unless driver's side is turned off when the vehicle is started. Passenger lite comes on then but no heat. At this point, turning on the driver's side causes passenger side lite to go off, and driver's side blinks. There are 3 fuses that the manual says are related to the heated seats. Two of the fuses also provide power to other systems, which are all still working normally. The only fuse dedicated to the seats is fine, not blown, and replaced anyway just in case. Anyone have any ideas? Of course the dealer says to bring it in so they can diagnose it, but I'd like to hear what you folks have to say first.
Thanks in advance from (frozen butt) Winnipeg.

I can not help you with your problem, however, the switchs you described sound like the ones I have with my Tacoma seats which are Katzkin leather seats.

Thanks to those who replied. I've determined that they are aftermarket seat heaters from Check Corp. I got the installation manual off of the Check website, and as soon as the heaters in my garage get the temp up to something reasonable I'll be tracing out wires, checking heater element continuity, etc.

It was a bad connector. One of the female sockets in a connector wasn't anchored in the connector and had been pushed out of the connector by the mating pin. Not sure why it ever worked, actually. Pushed it back in and everything's good now.
