Canada Dealership service

I really need to vent here. This is a bit of a good news/bad news scenario.

The good news:
After three attempts to fix my rattling dash, they seem to have finally fixed the problem.
The 3rd row seat belt that got chewed up by the 3rd row mechanism was replaced.

The bad news:
The squeaking seat that I asked to have fixed still squeaks. The dealership gave me the "unable to replicate problem" excuse.
There is a drone that occurs when the car is idling and in park. Once again, I got the "unable to replicate problem" excuse.
Because the Toyo OEM tires suck in the winter, I was forced to purchase new Michelin X-Ice tires. One of the tires developed a cut on the sidewall. My dealership did not offer a road hazard warranty with purchased tires. The result: I have to buy a new tire at about $250 once everything is all finished.

I have to vent here. I really thought the dealership would give a road hazard warranty with the purchase of tires. They told me the manufacturers don't give them out any more. Is this a line of B.S.? Or am I just stupid or naive?
If I buy a new tire, how will this affect the AWD system? They've got 7000 kms on them. Will this difference in tire diamter affect the AWD coupling?

Yes,100% BS. OE tires that come with the car have no road hazard, but replacement tires purchased at a Toyota dealership certainly do. The warranty is through Toyota, not the manufacturer. There is even a pamphlet out there confirming this. I used to be a Toyota service adviser before I started working for corporate so it's not second hand info.

It sounds to me like the Michelins purchased by C.Canuck are not OEM tires. In Canada, Tires purchased from a Toyota dealer do NOT come with a road hazzard warranty as far as I know. Good dealers will extend you one informally, but they are not obligated to. I had a popped tire of mine replaced by my dealer free of charge, but that was in much better economic times for the dealer.

Although I have done so in the past, it is never a good idea to buy tires directly from a Totota dealer in Canada. You are much better off buying from a tire reseller who offers better prices and a formal road hazzard warranty.

I've learned my lesson. I'll never buy rubber from a dealership ever again. Too bad it's such an expensive lesson to learn, though.
I wouldn't say Stampede Toyota is a bad dealership, it's just that I feel they left out some very important information when I bought the tires.
Ultimately, I should have asked prior to purchasing these expensive tires, instead of making assumptions.
I may try Toyota Canada and see what they can do for me.
Thanks for all your help.

Dealerships just sock you with a massive mark-up on price, so it's just not a sound way to go. I've always bought my tires from warehouses, buying blems back in the day before companies got too freaked out by lawyers, and then had them installed by independent shops. When my HL needs new tires in another year or so I'll do the same and save a couple hundred bucks...that makes me happy....
