Trim falling off of Luggage and roof trim/Sport Ride

My 2010 is starting to dissappoint me. First, the left rear Luggage rack trim blew off on my first highway trip. Then, I took it thru a car wash and the long 3-4 foot rubber trim strip that runs under the luggage bars blew out. I still have it. Anyone else seeing these problems. Funny...only the left side...wonder if the guy on the assembly line in Indiana was a rookie. I'm afraid they all may be for a while.

Also...anyone think the sport rides a tad stiff? Is it the tires? Esp if it sits awhile. Makes me think the Toyos get flat spotted while sitting. Of course in the winter, the roads are a bit frost heaved, so it is worse than when I bought the car in Oct.

The sport has a stiffer suspension and is designed to have a stiffer ride - hence the "sport" moniker.

I have a similar problem. The strip under the rail on the driver's side was half off by the time I caught it after a car wash. The one on the passenger's side was completely gone. The short strip running back from the windshield on the passenger's side was also loose and flapping about. So, of four rubbers strips, one remains in situ.

I checked at the car wash to see if lost and found had recovered my missing strip. The attendant came out with three strips. The construction of all three appeared identical to mine, except none was the correct length. So there are others out there with pieces falling from their cars.

I haven't been to the dealer yet to hear what they have to say. Warranty item? I hope so, and I hope the dealer can do a better job of fixing the rubber in place than the factory did.
