The Highlander is highly prized (like the Sienna) and are hard to find at dealers.
We looked for over a month before we found one equipped the way we wanted - we settled on silver but really wanted the Salsa Red. They still haven't gotten any 4WD's in since we bought ours and only have 2 bases left on their lot. Limiteds are a little easier to find but cost $$$, The SE I bought was excluded from the 3.9% Highlander offer this month, but I got 4.9% thru TFI
Don't believe the Toyota.com inventory lists, they are WAAAY off, they still show my car as being available for sale. Check your local dealers websites and check their online inventory - it should be much more accurate.

You are probably right, but I am hoping for 0% financing.
I test drove the one I want last week - SE 4WD in Gray Metallic. I also saw it at another dealer locally. Maybe the Chicago area is getting more of them for some reason. Local dealers have sent me internet quotes approaching invoice (according to Edmunds).
I just purchased an SE 4WD in the Chicago region. Many offers were $300 - $600 over invoice. I got mine for $250 under invoice after much negotiating.

A dealer in Chicago just called and told me that Toyota is offering 0% for 60 months on the Highlander. There is no cash back incentive. Not sure if that is correct or not, but that is what I was told.

Two dealers have confirmed that the March incentive on Highlanders is 0% financing for 60 months. Both dealers said they will start selling under that deal now.
Bought a limited yesterday w/ March incentives. For Portland region, $1,000 or 0% for 60 months. I also received a loyalty incentive for current toyota owners of 24 months of complete auto care (or whatever they call it) which amounts to free oil changes etc...
I bought the SE today. I got it for $600 under invoice and 0% financing for 60 months. No free oil changes or anything. I wish I had thought to try and get that included. Oh well - still happy with the deal.
Bought my '10 HL last evening..dealt with the general sales mgr at the end to finish up the deal.
during the process we discussed any future incentives and he indicated that increased dollar incentives would likely be on 'core' vehicles -- camry, corolla, tundra, tacoma...he said that Camry incentives might reach $2500 and that in his time at Big T he had never seen them over $1500. The Corolla has also been hit hard and will likely have record incentives. This is because the glut of unsold/hit hard vehicles are 'core' vehicles -- and that they compete with 12+ mfrs who build camry-esque vehicles, but far fewer that directly compete with the HL.
I pressed him on new HL incentives starting March 1, so he brought up the internal SouthEast toyota inventory list..it showed 500+ camrys at the port in Jacksonville, but only 70 or so HLs. This, he explained, is why it is unlikely the HL would get an incentive bump..at least in the short term.
At first I thought this was a trick since '10 HLs are built in Indiana..so why would they goto Jax? But after researching, I discovered Toyota sends them via rail to Jax for distibution across the South (Japanese-built Toyotas slowboat to JaxPort).
After all this, I still made it a requirement that we'd be eligible for any new HL cash incentives starting March 1. He agreed and put it in writing for me. I think the takeaway from this is that there is a small, small chance of a bump, and even if there is one, don't expect more than $500 over the current $500 loyalty dollars...and that this extra $500 might be tied to using Toyota financing.

Just purchased mine about a week ago. I had asked the dealer if they were getting any new finance incentives for the coming month but they said no. I guess I should of gotten something in writing. Is their anything I can do to get the financing offer 0% for 60 months. I got the 3.9% for 60 months and just purchased on 2/22.

I bought mine on 2/27/2010 and got 0% just because I pressed the issue and said that was the only way we had a deal. (I knew it was coming based on some comments in this forum!! Thanks)
He had to "call Toyota" to verify and then came back and agreed. I later found out from the Finance dept that they had known about this upcoming APR rate the day before!!
Do the salesman get a bigger commission or some type of kickback if they sell a vehicle at higher APR? I cannot understand why the dealer would care if you got 0.0 or 3.9% as that money goes to the bank and they get paid for the car. Anyone know?
As for your question about an APR change now, it is out of the dealer's hands. Call Toyota financial and tell them you would like the new 0 % deal - worst they can say is no.
