Hi All, When I had my Rav4, I was a member of Rav4world.com. In that forum, people used to do group buys and have gotten excellent discounts. The groups were initiated by some Rav4world members thru' a chinese distributor who happened to be one of the official sponsors of Rav4 world.com. His name is Simon who resides in China. I do not know his e-mail address but I did write to him thru' Rav4world and he used to reply very promptly too. I do not know the current situation of his promptness anymore because I stopped visiting the threads as I do not have Rav4 anymore.
I am only giving this info to help people here to show a way of buying at a discounted price from these chinese dealers who happened to have Highlander's Nav unit. I cannot afford to buy one but I thought I can at least pass on this message so people will benefit.
We are a new vendor on the forum and we are in the process of setting up a group buy for the Highlander navigation unit. I didn't want to make a new post, so I wanted to know if anyone would be interested.
We would be offering around 10% or more off original price depending on the interest.
I'll have a more detail posting in our sub-forum soon, but if anyone has any questions please feel free to PM or give us a call. Checkout or website!
PS: All units are warehoused in California, not overseas.

Welcome to the nation! It's always great to welcome a new vendor to TN. BTW, post up a new thread any time for group buys, special sales, etc., that you would like to offer to our members.

I am interested if the unit performs better than the POS facotry unit and has the right balance of features, performance and price.

Which Radio does this work with. The standard or the JBL Premium system? Looking at the rear of your offering I don't see enough connections for my JBL system. I do like the specs of your offering though.
I am seriously interested in buying one of your Highlnader 2008 in dash Nav. units and have some questions about your Chinese Nav Unit: Can you please let me know: Is it really coming from an OEM supplier to Toyota? How is this unit different from the OEM JBL Toyota Nav system.
Is it simply a remove and replace operation? Is it really compatible with the OEM Toyota Nav. JBL wiring? This is key from what I have read.
Does the 8" screen actually automativally push out by servo when you need to remove and replace CD's or is the screen fixed? Does it operate like the OEM Nav system using a Nav. CD?
I hope you don't mind me asking this, but is it any different from the unit supplied by Jewellet.com from China for $300.00? In other words, how is it different buying from Your company in CA. vs buying from the Orig. CHinese supplier. Why is it better?
Hey Fongshr. Looks like we have some of the same concerns. I will tell you that the screen is fixed. The DVD goes into the top slot that you can see in the picture. The GPS data is stored on a SD card.
I hope this unit works on the JBL equipped Highlanders. I am really interested in this Head-unit.

bobert1634, I have just read in post #8 that this does not work with JBL

Thanks for your info.
We obviously offer more features than the other company. Also our display screens are all 8" for the highlander. The unit is OEM fitment and operates the same. If you purchased from us and you had an issue you wouldn't have to wait around for 3 weeks or so to send the unit back to the manufacturer and wait for a replacement. We would obviously have a replacement sent out faster and in a prompt manner. The software interface is superb and the picture is in high resolution as well. There are too many goodies to list. Just compare the specs from site to site.

The updates are usually up every year. There's no cost for updating. You can do it yourself online. But if you do not know how, we can update it for you for the price of $20.00
