Driverr Seat memory foam cushion breakdown

I have an 08 highlander limited with the heated leather. One thing I have noticed is that in the last 2+ months the left edge of the drivers seat has basically disintegrated support wise. I blame this on the process of getting in and out repeatedly. While sitting in it you can poke both edges up and down with your pointer fingers simultaneously and the left edge is literally half as firm as the right.

Well this breakdown has led to an awkward seating position which leads to a numbness and pain right in my left 'arse' cheek from contorting to sit level. It feels as though your spilling out the left edge of the seat.

I brought it in to the stealer and of course they never heard of this and it naturally isn't covered under anything... but are looking into a fix. Be curious to see what the creative geniuses there come up with.

In the mean time I called an upholstery shop and they said they fix this all the time- $150 4hr appt. The replace or add memory foam to your liking.

Anyone else have this?.... My last truck was a Cadillac escalade and it took about 5 years for it to develop the same issue....but my Toyota is just 2 years old....

Well the stealer got back to me...they can replace the seat cushion for $185 parts and $150 labor... I see I can get the cushion for $138 online...wonder how hard it is to swap it out with the seat heater element?

You have to remove your leather cover inorder to remove the cushion. I've changed my Camry fabric interior into leather before and it was not fun... well it's fun for DIY, what I should say is it's not easy. Plus, you will need the right tools like hog rings, hog rings plier to do the job.
