Dont waste your money at Apple. I have a 3Gs and got a cable at Radio Shack for about $6.00. It's about 8 inches long and Grey. They have white ones for 2x the price. You just need any cable with mini RCA Jacks (male) at both ends.

Just run a cable out of your Ipods headphone jack, no need to use a special adapter

Is the sound okay? Curious to see how it compares to getting a wire that interfaces into the back of the radio. To be honest, I don't see the point of controlling the iPod from the radio (the iPod interface is really good on its own), but I'm interested if the sound quality is the same or if one interface is better than the other.

Just get the cheap one that has mini plugs on both sides. You can sometimes find them on Amazon for less than a $1. That's what I did.

Picked one up at lunch. Amazed at how good the iPod output sounds through that Aux port. It's all I need as far as I can tell.
