New Owner and New to Toytoa
Howdy, I just bought a 2010 Highlander Limited for the wife last week. It has the QI #8 options with Navigation. So fare we love it. I had a couple of questions.
Sorry if this has been answered already, but I've tried using the search fuction and it's not working for me (I get a blank page).
Anyway, we bought it with XM installed but also want an iPod adapter too. The dealer said the OEM interface can not be used in with XM installed. We have found some aftermarket alternatives on the net.
We're leaning toward the PA20-TOY from USA Spec. Would this be the right one to get since our HL has NAV? Or do we need the PA15-TOY. Also, If I've read the website right, it looks like we can have BOTH the XM and iPod installed. Also, if anyone has this unit, can you change tracks via the steering wheel controls?
We've noticed that on the 4 disc changer, with MP3s burned on it... it will play random (meaning that when the song ends it will randomly pick another song), but if we change to the next track then it doesn't randomly change to a song, it will change to the next song on the list alphabetically or order it was burned. Not too random for me. Is there an option to set to where the change track button will actually pick a random song instead of having to wait for the cd player to finish one song and start another (without any change track input from us)... does that makes sense?
Thanks in advance! I've never owned a Toyota before! Wife had an old Toyota truck when she was in highschool before but that's about it. She owned Acura MDX before this car and my current car is G35
Any help would be appreciated. Really curious as to what those of you think about the PA20-TOY for your HL, if you use one for your iPod!
