Comparison of space behind third row in old and new (2008)HL's

Hi All,

1). what is the comparison of free space behind third row in old (before 2008) and new (2008) Highlander's?

2). Also, I have never sat in the third row, but assuming bit better than old highlander and Rav4's...

3). What are the other difference between old and new HL's?

Any thoughts, love to hear your comments.

Thanks

Interior volume is one improvement, with 41 cubic feet of extra space. How much of that extra volume is behind the 3rd row seat I do not know. The 2008+ Highlanders (Sport and Limited trims) have a rear glass hatch that opens. More attention was also given to sound proofing, according to Toyota. Those are a few things off the top of my head.

On the new ones too the 2nd row is adjustable as you can move it forward and back so you could move them up a bit more to give more space in for the third row. As far as space for behind the 3rd row I think is the same. We can just fit our umbrella stroller or maybe a couple of groceries behind third bench. Hope that helps.
