New Highlander Owner

Greetings all! I just purchased a new '10 Highlander Limited, FWD, in blizzard pearl/tan interior, with all options (EVP #8, sport spoiler, tow prep pkg) except the entertainment system on 3/13/10. It was a demo and had just under 4K miles on it, so I guess technically, it's not really new, but it is the closest I've ever been to owning a new car/SUV.

I have ordered the OEM body side molding, mudguards, hood protector, and RS3200 GBS, all of which should be delivered tomorrow. I will probably try to do all except the BSM myself.

Plan to get the exhaust tip as well, the place I ordered from was OOS...

Glad to be here, and already finding lots of great info... I'll try to contribute where I can!

RE: New Highlander Owner

I purchased a new 4X4 SE on 03/11. I am very excited to be here. This site has already saved me more than $400 on extended warranty.

I purchased all accessories from trdparts4u.com. Their prices were very competitive and shipping charges were very reasonable too. I am getting Body Side Molding, Remote Engine Starter, Tow Hitch, and Running Boards (aftermarket Aluminum Wedge Type) installed at my dealership next week. I am planning to install other smaller parts (front deflector, exhaust tip, wheel locks) myself.

what mudguards did you get? are they white or black?
i have the blizz white too
any pics?

i just installed my sportwing body moldings but want the mudguards next, but i'd like white ones.
or, do they make the mudguards built into the side step bars at all?

that would be ideal.

I ordered the factory mudguards, which are black. White would be nice, but I doubt I will get them painted. I don't know about guards built into the step bars, but I assume that would just cover the front ones... the back ones would be separate, correct?

Next up for me is body molding and security system, then exhaust tip...

Nice! Congrats!

We bought one for my wife too... magnetic gray color. We just get the grade version.

You can get the color matched mudguards but it will cost double.

What brand is the hood protector?

I just installed the aftermarket running board http://www.vanguardoffroad.com/2008-toyota-highlander-aluminum-running-b2008.html

Look very nice. Haven't hook up the lights yet.

Does your limited has the foot light under the steering wheel? My tundra has the foot light... but not my HL.

I'm thinking to tap the running board lights to the dome or foot light instead of the door's light... because when I unlock the doors, I want the running board lights to be on instead have to open the door.

Anyone know where to tap to the dome's wires instead of running the wires from the head liner?

If you like this running board, you can get it from ebay (same seller)... and make an offer! Very well build.

You can PM me, I'll let you know how much I paid for it.
