RS3200 GBS install

Anyone ever done this install? I just ordered the part (PT398-48081) and plan on installing it this weekend in my 10 HL LTD. Just wanted to know if there are any "gotchas" I need to watch out for!

I found the install instructions online http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT398-48081inst.pdf and will try to take pics during my install.

Reviewing the instructions, unless you have a copy of Toyota Techstream you'll need a trip to the dealer to activate the system.

Yeah, I did review the instructions and saw that... was gonna install it and see if it works without this step (i.e. the option is already set to ON)... if not, I guess I get to fight with them over the charge for a 2 minute hookup!

Funny I had the same question and after googling found out it is Glass Breakage Security system - an alarm system... It's an age of acronyms we live in.

Yes, it is a glass breakage sensor (basically a microphone that pics up sounds to set off the alarm). The description from the Toyota website (http://www.toyota.com/highlander/accessories.html then click on the "VIP Security - RS3200 Plus" icon) is:
"The VIP RS3200 Plus (Vehicle Intrusion Protection) is a complete vehicle security system with alarm and glass breakage sensor for vehicles that already have factory keyless entry with remote lock/unlock. When equipped with the VIP RS3200, your vehicle’s security system is activated immediately if the glass is broken or if forced entry of a side door (or the trunk) is attempted. The system includes a wide range of security and convenience features including: automatic rearming and relocking, door ajar warning, interior light activation, panic alarm, rolling code technology and disabling of the starter."

Just purchased a HL SE 4WD and need to get the alarm. What's the difference between the RS3200 and RS3200 Plus? Or do I need to purchase the RS3200 to add on the RS3200 Plus?
