Gotta Love Sensors...

Well, the ole check engine light decided to come on to my delight. Took her into the stealership and low and behold I needed a new air-fuel sensor. The diagnosis, part, and repair cost me a cool $757.00 I have 49,300 miles on my '08 HL Base.

Really, it's ok though. I would have rather put in a new air-fuel sensor over running boards and a bull bar.

Bummer..Not many things covered under the emissions 8 year/ 80,000 miles warranty. You would think this would be a power train thing and covered for 60 months/ 60,000 miles under the power train warranty but the fuel system (with the exception of the fuel pump) is conveniently missing from this coverage.

This should be a covered item under powertrain and state emissions warranty of 7yr/70k miles. If the dealer won't approve coverage call the Toyota hotline.
