The only way it could have been made uglier is if the wheels had been painted the same color as the rest of the car......I HATE that look when people do that! Okay, before any one chimes in that "hey, I have colored wheels!" it's just a personal opinion, I'm sure my totally stock HL is mind-numbingly boring and tight-assed to other people's eyes.....

The color isn't too bad, I 've seen worse like the green/purple color shifting paint, but the red trim looks like crap. I know alot of you like the vent visors, but I can't stand them. IMHO they look really bad on a lowered SUV vs. one that has the off road utility look(racks, tube steps, brush guards).

I guess you all are calling it ugly because of the red color and not because of the bronze color. If so, I agree that I did not like the red color as well as the wheels.
As you all know, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Yes, specifically the red trim. It looks awful with the bronze!

But I wonder if the front fenders blinker lights are factory installed or aftermarket. I wish I had those on mine... I think it's a great safery features.

DS
Front fender blinker lights are standard here in Oz
With better wheels and a much better paint scheme, the lowered HL doesn't look to bad.

Agreed... it's one thing to lower the car for better handling and give it a more aggressive look, but if you do that, you really can't add brush guards, big tires, etc that you would use off-roading. It's kind of like this guy just bought everything on ebay that had "Highlander" in the title and slapped it on there.
