If you plan on doing it yourself, have a LOT of patience. It is hard to do if you have never installed one before. I thought I knew what to do when I saw watched a pro install these, watched all the youtube videos, read the instructions, etc. The bumper piece was the hardest.
I would definintely have it professionally installed.

LOL, actually, I spent hours trying to learn all the techniques, and watched all the videos to install the protective film and thought I was ready to do the task. Then the next day I was trying to apply the clear protector on my Nokia N97 cell phone, and screwed that up. And a few days later, I was trying to do the film for the laptop and screwed that up also.
Then I realized if I can't get the protector film on a cell phone and a laptop right, more than likely I am going to screw up the film on the HL.
The moral of the story is... Practice on your laptop/cell phone first and if you can't get that right, you need professional help.

The sheetmetal on the 2008-2010 Highlander is the same so the answer is yes. I have the 3M film and the experience has been positive. However, one morning a bird crapped on the front of the car and it hit the front film and stained it purple. The dealer did the install and since it had a warranty they replaced the front film. The tech advised me to apply regular wax to the film just like waxing the painted surface...it really helped to repel the "non-desirables".

They sell through E-Bay. One heck of a price and the I had a Local Pro install it for me.
$180.00 for the Front and I think $30 for the headlights and Fogs (it's thicker)
$200 to install. After I messed up the Drivers side Headlight trying to do it myself. Contacted Steve and he Heavily discounted a replacement piece for me.. Then negeotiated the install with a local who also needed some home networking done.
