Smartkey Battery replace procedure

I found this link to replacing the battery in a Smartkey fob.
It is for a 2007 Camry but the procedure should be the same.

I found the instructions in my Owners Manual.

When I did it the instructions in the link are more accurate than the one in the owners manual.

1) My owners manual didn't tell you that the manual key can be used to open the fob
2) when I opened my fob it was like the link showed. The circuit board was face down and I had to lift the circuit board up to get at the battery not the way the owners manual shows where the battery is facing up.

Maybe later owners manuals than the 2008 one I have show it better

Unfortunately they do not summerwind. At least not the '09 Manual. I too found the board upside down and looked around for a small screwdriver to open the fob. I guess Toyota must be trying to save on ink! Thanks for the link.
