Trailer and Wiring Questions.

Well, I installed my Valley tow hitch and just installed the wiring harness this morning. I followed the instructions in this video:

I only thing different is the under brake connection was not the one shown, but one further back behind and left of the brake cable. The connection they showed in the video did not connect to the harness I have, Valley 118449. I went and connected the trailer and today and all the lights works, but the turn signals and brake lights did not work.

I'm at a loss at what it could be. Any suggestions? I used a 15 amp fuse, would a 10 or 30 make a difference?

Thanks for any help.

As no one has responded to your question you might give Valley a call.

The only thing that comes to mind is you have the converter plugged into the wrong plug under the dash or the convert is bad.

Check to make sure you bought the right harness. There should be two main types out there (not just from Valley).

The two general patterns of lighting is brakes/signals shared vs brakes/signals separate-descrete. I believe Toyota would share the same basic harness with GM vehicles which have said lights separate. VS Ford and I think Nissan who has brakes/signals shared.

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
