In our search for a Highlander, we found a dealer with a 2009 V6 with leather upgrade with a block heater and undercoating. Is there much difference between a 2009 & 2010? There is a deal on the 2009, making it cheaper than a 2010 V6 w/o the leather upgrade. I am in Canada, and wonder what would be considered a fair, out the door price for the 2009?
There shouldn't be any difference between a 2009 and a 2010 other than a year of depreciation. If you keep cars for 8+ years this should be a non-issue. However, if you change vehicles every 2-3 years the extra year of depreciation could be substantial so you would need a VERY good deal on the 2009 over a 2010.

Thanks!
You don't specify what model you are looking at. Base, Sport, FWD or AWD? Is it a new one? The reason I ask is because undercoating and block heaters are options that do not usually come with the vehicle. Not sure how you are financing it but I see that on the Toyota Canada website the interest rate to purchase an '09 is 6.95% and for a 2010 it is 4.9%!
Also, to the 'Nation' and the Highlander form, flick37.

Thanks for the welcome!
It is not the 4 cyl, but the base V6 with leather upgrade. The block heater and undercoat are additional costs...we need the block heater definitely, but don't know about the undercoating.
What are the 4WD and AWD versions? I thought there was the 4 cyl, V6, V6 Sport and V6 limited...and then the Hybrids, of course.

All but the 4 cyl are what they call 4WD. This what the Website shows under Specs;
4WD Full-Time, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), DAC (Downhill Assist Control).
Power is split evenly front/rear.

I agree. What I can't understand is why the financing on the outgoing '09 is 2.05% higher. I would have thought that they would want them off the lot ASAP.
