small LED light on the top

I notice theres a small white LED light on the top by where you put your sunglasses..this thing turns on ..on night time ..is this really automatic or theres a switch to turn it off???

It won't turn off, but it'll dim along with the dashboard lights when you turn them down. There was a member here a few months back who posted a thread about rewiring the LED to turn off separately from the other lights, but I don't recall the thread off-hand. You might want to search the Highlander forum for that thread.

Was me.

I am looking at doing a separate dimmer for it. Other things just keep piling on at the moment. I've looked at doing the mod in the overhead luminary console where the LED actually is--bit of work but not too bad, and also one for down on the dash where the dimmer pot is which would be more straight forward I think. Something in about two weeks, then the rear camera enable mod.
