Dash Trim Upgrade Kits

Hi, I have an 09 Highlander Base. I'd like to "spruce up" the interior dash area so it isn't so bland (should have gotten the fancier model). Does anybody have experience with aftermarket "Dash Trim Upgrade" kits? I saw one kit that's a stick-on wood grain look (don't like the idea of stick-on).
http://www.autobarn.net/bitrim1.html

I saw another kit that supposedly only works for models WITHOUT existing factory trim (not sure how such vehicles could exist). http://www.wooddash.com/item/TOYOTA_...LANDER_2008_UP

Does anybody have any feedback on any such kits that would fancy up the interior of a Highlander Base model? I wouldn't mind sinking $200-$300 into sprucing up the dash, but am reluctant about stick-on pieces.

Thanks
Gary

I've got experience using stick on trim kits. Have it on my 2000 RAV4. Purchased the brush aluminum one. I can tell you one thing definitely. It would not look authentic and will turn yellow over time.

Since the edge is rounder off, kinda like those plush stickers from those coin op machines. It makes the whole experience not so great. Don't trust pictures, might look good from far away, but when you sit there up close, you'll noticed every fault on it.

Like if you applied it and it came out crooked. Or when the cover turns yellow, or when the glue doesn't hold around curves dash.

Stick on trim looks lime you stuck on some trim, your best to try to get some factory pieces from a limited.

I am thinking of supplementing my 2011 HL ltd with wood trim. Does anyone know the name of the finish of the OEM trim? Does anyone have reccommendations where to puchase a set? I would like to apply it tastefully around the dash, window armrest and JBL faceplates. Thanks in advanced.

Don't think they sell OEM trim. Your best best would be with water transfer to have the OEM quality prints on your trims.

Something like what this website offers.

http://www.trimstop.com/water_transfer_printing.htm

Don't know how much it'll cost you though.
