I've never found one specifically for the Highlander. I use a double whammy. I have a white towel that I drape against the lower part of the window and dash, then put up a thick aluminized shade I bought from Pep Boys. The two together keep all the sun off of my dash and do a good job of protection. If anyone has a line on a product specific to the Highlander I'd be interested to learn more about it.

This Seller makes a good product that fits. I'm happy enough with them that I recently purchased both of these products for my wife's new 2010 Subaru Outback Limited...
That custom foldable version is not avaialable for the Highlander! Bummer. UPDATE: It is available they just don't show it yet for the 2010 model so I typed in 2009. Bingo! Thanks.
I had a cover similar to this for my 06 Mustang GT, I think it was called a "car cap". It was a total pain in the butt to put on and remove and because of that it didn't get used much... Having to align the mirror pockets, put the wiper blades down over it, then open both doors and the trunk to secure it was just to time consuming. God forbid you ever need to take it off in a rain storm with any wind...

I agree way to much work and the size of the HL makes it even worse. I think with the rear privacy windows, tinted front windows and a good interior sun shield will do the trick.
RedLdr1 and Sidneyj, Thank you both. I will not buy it then...
I will have to decide which one of the sunshade I have to buy.
Can some of you please share pics of your Highlanders sun shades???
Regarding tinting: Highlanders from the factory are already tinted in the second and third row windows and rear hatch, aren't they.? will that help? Do I need to get extra tinting on the existing ones???

Thanks,
Don't have my sunshade yet. Takes 2-3 weeks for the custom foldable one. The second and third row as well as the rear tailgate windows are tinted but I'm not sure to what degree, if any, if they block UV rays and heat. I would assume they do. I decided just to get my front 2 windows tinted with a 30% ceramic Pinnacle tint. I like the tint becuase I use my laptop quite a bit and need to cut down glare. Cuts alot of the heat out to. Almost a dead match to the rear factory tints also.

I can vouch for that in 120+ desert heat. The sun shield plus the tinted windows are pretty effective, especially if you crack all the windows to help the interior "breath" a little bit.
