HL hybrid Grille Install?

Does anyone know if you can install a HL hybrid front grille into a HL Limited (gas version)?
Thanks everyone in advance.

I wouldn't see why not, they're virtually the same vehicle sans the engine and other electricals, the body, trim, etc. should be the same.

We had a past thread on this very subject. Let me take a look and see if I can dig it up.

Edit: I found the thread I was thinking of (click here), but it doesn't have an answer to your question. Maybe someone will chime in with an answer.

Looking at the thread TrailDust posted above it looks like Flame Red has done the deed (Its that last post on the thread with a picture of the grill and a brush guard installed.

You might PM him and see where he got it and how difficult it is to swap out.

Should be a breeze to make the change. I took mine off my Basic just to paint it. Just pop those button clips along the top. Remove the panel they hold down and that gives you access to the inside. There are a few screws on the top of the grill and then just clip shapes that hold the lower edge on. As long as the attachment points are the same you should be able to just switch the grill out. Good luck.

Thanks, I just responded to "Flame Red" and ask him about the hybrid grille switch. We'll see what he has to say.

You might have better luck if you sent him a PM as he would have to look at the thread to see your question.

Click on his user name and you will see a link to send him a personal message.

You will see a response in the upper right corner where is says "Private Messages" when he responses back to you

hybrid grille looks like 2nd gen avalon guillotine grille. personally, i prefer the non-hybrid grille.

Flame Red responded to me today. He has a HL hybrid so the grille came with his SUV. I checked out the eBay links but it looks like the grilles are only for a gas version or hybrid. Maybe there is something different in the engine compartment between the two.
