door lock failure and beeps 10 times
At 40k the left rear door on our Highlander failed. It was replaced under warranty. Recently the passenger side door lock was starting to fail. Then the drivers lock wasn't working.
The vehicle was brought into the dealer. The problem could not be replicated. I remembered that the alarm beeped 6 or 8 times when the passenger side lock failed. You would touch the passenger side door, that didn't open with the remote, the alarm would beep 6 or 8 times. I told this to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out. I was told look in your manual you would be amazed whats in there.
Having the vehicle back at home the next day the problem happend again. I used the remote to open the doors, touch the passenger side that did not open. This time I counted 10 times the alarm beeped.
Does anyone know what the 10 beeps means?
