I have the DVD player in my highlander, if you are playing a movie hit the aux/disc button the the radio a few times and it will cycle through to the DVD mode. but thats only if the movie is playing in the back. If you do that it will come over the car speakers. Or at least it does on my with JBL.

You could splice the wires behind the AUX port behind the dash. The downside is you can't listen to an iPod or something in the AUX port over the speakers while the kids in the back seat watch a movie on their headsets. You would hear both audio signals.

The option I went with was the PIE TOY-AUX adapter. It makes the stereo believe you have satellite radio (or another satellite radio if you already have one). Its a plug-and-play install that way. Works great, and you can find them for around $50-60 online.

Thanks for the reply, I did splice it into the aux port but to even to get the radio to go to aux i had to plug a i-pod cable into it. And there is a lot of static and noise coming out of speakers when dvd is playing. and i had the radio wide open and dvd wide open and u could barely hear it. So confused

This a follow up to my problem, I found my static problem it was bad rca cable. But i still have to have a i-pod cable hooked in to port before radio will go to aux. I just dont want to have a cable hanging out of port all the time so any suggestions
