Tapping/ticking noise driving me crazy

I have an 08 Highlander Sport. Whenever I hit 65+ I get a really annoying tapping or ticking type noise coming from somewhere above/behind my head (on the drivers side). It sounds like its coming from the exterior of the car. It gets louder and more intense when its windy out. I think its a loose part, maybe the roof rail?

I brought it to the dealership and they claimed it didnt make any noises. Im wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and knows of a fix. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks alot!

I had a similar noise and I traced it to the roof rack cross bars. The screw that is intended to be hand tightened and loosened to move the crossbars was loose and it vibrated at about 60+ mph.

If you have roof rack crossbars, it may be worth looking at.

Also if you have cross bars make sure they were installed with the arrows pointing forward. If they were installed backwards you will get wind noise.

Probably not your issue, but I used the 3rd row a week ago, then started hearing something rolling around and ticking in the back. Probing with a flashlight revealed a socket under the 3rd seat, either from factory or from dealer, although the dealer hasn't done any work back there.
