Load Carrying Capacity sticker 2010 HL SE

Purchased a 2010 SE V6 AWD, build date 3/10, built in IN. last week and Friday noticed the below sticker on the drivers side inside post. For some reason I never noticed this before. Called the salesman and he stated that his dealership never did any modifications to the vehicle. The dealer I purchased this from is not the dealer that got this vehicle orginally. It was delivered from the plant to a different dealership but my dealer told me that they had a buyer for this vehicle and got the vehicle from the orginal dealer but the deal fell through. I assume I could go back to the orginal dealer and ask but was wondering if anyone else has seen this sticker on their 2010 HL? I know the 2010 was part of the recall and perhaps what was done by the orginal dealer regarding the recall required this sticker. I have checked the vehicle complelely and see no evidence of any type of modification, including under the vehicle. Also did a search but found nothing.
Any thoughts before I go back to the orginal dealer.

That picture is a bit small...can't really read the writing. Can you post a larger version?

Larger picture. Since someone else has the same sticker I am going to assume this was placed there by wither Toyota or the dealer and again assume it may be due to the recall. What modification, I have no idea.

My Highlander was purchased before the recall and also has a Japanese VIN, I don't know if that makes a difference.

I have no idea why that sticker is there. I wouldn't give it too much merit, just some liability jargon recommended by some legal guy would be my guess.

0 lbs...you better not sit in it!

It is a little difficult to read the middle part but I'm guessing it says that the reduction is by 0 lbs, not to 0 lbs. I have an '09 HL Ltd that has had the accelerator modified (Ground) but there is no such sticker.

I also have an 09 with the same sticker. My guess is that it has something to do with the OE tow hitck. Does anyone have the sticker but does not have an OE tow hitch?

Correct, the sticker says the reduction is by 0 lbs. I have the sticker but do not have an oe tow hitch.
I sent an email to Toyota asking about the sticker but may not hear back from them for a few weeks, according to their website they are on overload with emails. I'm hoping their reply will shed some light on this and not "please discuss this with your dealer"
I'm also of the opinion that this may very well be a legal cya but I'm kind of curious as to what was done to warrant the sticker.

I have an aftermarket hitch installed by the dealer. It shows 0 & 1 respectively.

I have the same sticker on my 2010 Base Highlander purchased in March. Mine was made in Japan and has a OEM tow hitch(not sure if that matters)

I have a 2008 Jap model and have the same sticker but mine actually has numbers there to show the load carrying capacity was actually reduced for whatever reason. Don't remember what they are as of now but I'll check on it.

I got one

I have a sticker on the driver's door sill that looks similar, except I think the amounts are printed on the sticker rather than written in. Mine is reduced by 12 or 16 lbs for some reason - I don't have the tow hitch installed. I have a '10 Limited. I'll try to grab a pic and post it later.

Here is the response I received from Toyota Motor Sales regarding this sticker. "The Addendum Label is a yellow label on the driver's side center pillar. It must be installed when accessories are installed which exceed 1.5% of the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or 100 lbs., whichever is less, on or before the first retail sale. This speccific Addendum Label was installed at the Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) Vehicle Processing Center when Toyota Genuine Accessories were installed. The label provides the weight of Toyota Genuine Accessories added to the vehicle by TMS which were not already taken into account in the vehicle occupant and cargo carrying capacity located on the Tire and Loading Information Label".

The label on my HL shows 0 lbs. so I am guessing perhaps the carpeted mats for the front, second and third row plus the cargo area dictated this sticker. That is the only accessory I have on this vehicle.
