The stock Bridgestones are not going to be the ones going on my car for a 2nd time due to their horrid wear. The Toyota dealer told me that they are the only ones that make a tire for the Highlander Sport, but I can't believe that is true.
Does anyone know of a better option for tires for the car?
I'm going to need them by the end of the summer. Looking for a good quality with price in mind.

Thanks for any help.
It is true you are limited in choices. Quite a few people are using the Toyo Open Country H/T which is available in 245/55R19.
Some are moving to a 255 size but that is a wider tire and would present more resistance in snow. For safety, I use a dedicated 17 " winter tire on a Rav4 17" steel wheel in winter and the stock 19" OEM Toyo in summer.
There have been quite a few posts on tires on this forum.

I am in the same dilemma as you with what sport tires to get. After research and asking question on these forums I have decided to go with the Toyo Open Country H/T tires. I have read good things about them and they have got good all around reviews. Hope that helps.
I know we could move into the 255 sizes but Id rather keep the original size that came with the car.
i had toyo tires when i bought my highlander brand new and had to replace them at 18000 mile because they were bald. i did a lot of research to try to find tire for the 19" rims but all the reviews were horrid. i ended up buy some sweet 20" chrome wheels off of tirerack withe goodyear eagles on them. i now have 20000 miles on these tires and they have not worn at all!

Im not sure how folks tear up tires so bad. I have almost 40k on my stock Duelers, and although they are close to being done, there not there quite yet.
As for the guy that says that the bigger tires offer more resistance in the snow, are you serious? I mean were talking about .39 of an inch difference in width. If anything it should give you better traction since its wider.

It is a fact that the wider the tire the more resistance you will create in snow. A narrower tire will perform better than a wide tire in snow. A wider tire will also increase rolling resistance. Check with any tire expert.
