Toyo Open Country HT Tires - Inflation Pressure

I did a search but did not find the exact answer I wanted.

I have a 09' Highlander Sport and just purchased Toyo Open Country HT tires. As you know the HL sports have the 19" tire.

So, my question is, what is the best tire pressure for this tire so that the tires wear correctly? Obviously I do not want to over-inflate or under-inflate to get a better ride. I want these tires to last as long as possible.

Please help.

tire pressure

Toyota recommends 30 psi per the sticker in your driver's side door jam. I have an '08 Sport and always have kept mine at 34-35 psi. I still have the original Toyo A20's on mine with 40k on them. They are due to be replaced and am considering the H/T but have been on back order it seems forever. Now having the Sport with its stiffer suspension and tires at 35 psi it does ride pretty hard. When in doubt though, do what the vehicle manufacturer recommends (30psi)

If you are interested in the Toyo tires go to www.treaddepot.com That is where I got mine from. Good prices.

Anyway. I did see that 30 PSI is recommended but it just seems like thats way to soft for the tires not to wear out quicker. I am probably completely wrong. So I guess anything from 30 PSI to 35 PSI would be good.

Any other thoughts?

I usually run my tires 1-2 pounds harder than factory recommendation. Helps when the temperature varies a lot and helps ride/handling a bit. Above 1-2 pounds over factory recommendation the ride gets a bit too hard for me but this is subjective.

I have been running 35PSI all around in mine since they were installed. The tires are wearing great with virtually no perceptible wear at 14K miles...

Ditto. I've always run my tires at 34-35 PSI, and in thirty years of driving never had a set wear improperly.

I run my HT's @ 35psi. Anything betwn 30-35 is fine. Just find the sweet spot you like. I have 15k on mine and they are performing great.
