do you mean like a rear brush guard of types or a larger sill plate to protect when putting items in rear?

Ditto to that. Any additional details would be helpful.

BTW, to Toyota Nation!

The link below will take you to a post, with photos, of what I use as a bumper guard... One of these already saved my tail from a cellphone babbler...

I had a 2" hitch reciever with a trailer ball on it. One time I watched some guy trying to parallel park right behind my HL (the space was over two cars wide!). He kept bumping into the back of my of my car. I checked the damage afterwards and my car was fine while his bumper was cracked with a hole in it.

I started to feel bad so I switched to:

Finally got around to ordering and installing the rear Bumper Guard
Got it from Sparks Toyota

http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...arts_id= 2124

Not a biggy but anyone have a clue what the plastic tool that is included is supposed to do?

After reading the posts about the ends not fitting flush I cut back the 3M tape slightly to allow the guard to fit a bit better and siliconed the inside to compensate for the missing tape. Still not a perfect fit on the ends but I can live with it.

Covered up the dog claw scratches on the factory attempt at a guard so I'm happy with the results

Allow you to pry it back up in case the installation is not straight?

summerwind, would you mind posting up a pic or two when you get it installed. I'm very interested in what the finished product looks like.

Muchas gracias for the pic, summerwind!

And that tool, I have no idea.... BTW, does anyone know if the 2011 has that rear bumper extension, or did the idiots at Toyota not include it after three years of customer input?....

Doubt it..

They would have to relocate the spare tire to move the hitch in.

Customer input ignored...

Put a 7 pin plug on the back as required by US Law for vehicles that can pull more than 3000 lbs. Make the tow package the same as on the 4Runner.

Install the current solid VVTi tube as part of the Toyota Recall instead of the replace the rubber tube with another rubber tube solution.

and on and on.

Listen to customers, zero..
