Take a look at the Modifications & Maintenance sticky thread at the top of the forum page, navigate to More Maintenance Issues, then click on the Customizable Electronic Features link. Should have info there about adjusting those settings.

This option will be modified by your dealer, using the TIS Techstream computer. I had a couple options changes lately and it took 5 minutes. They did it free of charge as well.
What I asked my dealer to change:
Change the multifuntion display to french;
Change the dome light illumination from 15sec to 30sec when the last door is closed;
Disable auto-recirculation on the HVAC;
Headlights stays ON for 60sec instead of 30sec when turning OFF the car;
As for the locking part, I know the doors can be locked/unlocked when the car is set to Park/Drive, or locks when reaching a certain speed. You can have all the doors unlock with the keyfob on a single touch, disable chirp and parking lights flash, etc.
Ask your dealer and I wish you good service, as I got.

The procedures below are from our friends at the Tundra forum. ALL the customized settings for door locking CAN be done without the help (or LACK of help) from your Toyota dealer. Below are the procedures for the customizable door lock modes including speed-detecting locking. I have done them all on my 2008 HL Ltd and they work. You don't even have to spin counterclockwise and rub your tummy...The BIG KEY (no pun intended) is to un-do whatever mode you are in FIRST (best if you start by having NEITHER "speed-detecting" or "shifting out of PARK locks doors" active).
Speed-detecting automatic door lock function[FONT=Z@R77.tmp] (Lock at 12 mph)[SIZE=2]
1. Turn Key or Smart Key to "ON".[SIZE=4]
2. Shift Lever to "N" (make sure you are on a flat surface).
3. Within 10 secs of turning key "ON", press and HOLD driver side LOCK BUTTON for 5 secs and release.
4. Lock will cycle to confirm.
5. To reverse, repeat steps 1-4.
Shifting to position other than P locks all doors.[FONT=Z@R77.tmp][SIZE=2][FONT=Z@R77.tmp][SIZE=4]
1. Turn Key or Smart Key to "ON".
2. Shift Lever to "P".
3. Within 10 secs of turning key "ON", press and HOLD driver side LOCK
BUTTON for 5 seconds and release.
4. Lock will cycle to confirm.
5. To reverse, repeat steps 1-4.
*Doing the Speed-detecting sequence above but SUBSTITUTING "UNLOCK" for "LOCK" will link "UNLOCK" to the ignition being turned OFF.
**Doing the Shifting to other than P with UNLOCK vs LOCK will effect whether the doors UNLOCK when you shift to P.
I haven't been able to get this to work on my 2011 HL so I took it to the dealership. They said they would have to hook up a scanner and it would take a couple of hours! Which I didn't have.
Am I missing what the bracketed characters mean? The other thread said you should use a stopwatch for exactly 5 seconds. I will try again.
My manual lists the customizable settings but gives no instructions other than going to a dealer. I'd love to try your instructions. Could you post or PM a photo of the page? Maybe after Toyota's recall problems they changed user access to programming options on the 2011's.
I had them disabled at the dealership. Now I have another question. Sometimes when I open up my door when the car is shut off, all doors will unlock which is what i want because otherwise my kids are locked in. I can't seem to figure out how I do this, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I haven't quite made the correlation yet. I know the car has been off and keys out of the ignition and it still opens them.
Any ideas?

My '11 has the key turning once opening just the driver door. Twice unlocks them all.

Same here. The manual lists the options but no procedures. I just tried the above procedure for disabling the auto-unlock on my 2011 SE and it did not work at all. After holding the unlock button for 5-sec the locks did not cycle and the setting was not changed.
At my next oil change I want to have the auto-unlock-in-Park disabled and the ambient-light sensor sensitivity increased one click. My headlights won't turn on automatically soon enough even when it's dark enough that the majority of the drivers on the road have their lights on.
Love Toyota in St. Albans WV wants 1/2 hour of labor ($66) to make the changes to my brand new HL Limited. Over $40K for a car and then have to pay to get it set the way you want it...I knew I should have gone with Honda.
Not much "Love" there. Blame the dealer not Toyota. My dealer just did it with no fuss as part of the 1st free service. I printed up the changes to keep clear what I wanted as some of these guys have no clue what to tell the tech.
