A year ago some people here were posting about how they had noises coming from their interior and I mentioned that I hadn't heard a single one. A few people commented along the lines "yeah...well wait until you have 5 or 10K and let us know!".
Well, I have 20K on my 2009 Limited and there's not a single squeak, pop, rattle or other noise from anywhere else in the car. This car has been dead solid, comfortable and reliable with the only flaw being the lack of a memory seat and steering that's a wee bit too light.
Highly recommend one to anyone looking for a 4 wheel drive vehicle that's comfortable and more versatile than a 4 wheel drive sedan without giving up the comfort.
Seems like it's the luck of the draw for which HL you get from the factory. I've been lucky and still have only one interior rattle at 30K. Got to agree that for the comfort and versatility of the HL it's hard to go wrong. I still highly recommend it to anyone considering a purchase.

You must have got the test car, because besides yours and the one they tested with, those appear to be the only 2 that did not rattle.
Good news though that you have no rattle - mine is perfect until it is less than 45 degrees outside and then the rattle will start - I did however figure them out and fix them, so has been good for the last year or so!
My rattle is a quirky one. The rattle comes from the right side, 2nd row passenger door, and it only rattles when I'm the only one in the Highlander and the fuel is half a tank or higher. Something in that damn door hits some kind of resonance frequency under those conditions and nothing else. Good thing is it's not that loud, and the stereo turned on to a normal volume drowns it out. Go figure.

my 08 limited with 50k miles doesn't have a single squeak anywhere its a very solid car. I honestly thing it has to do with where your car was manufactured. The ones that were manufactured in Japan (mine) tend to be put together better than the ones built here in America, or so i've read.

I have an '09 LTD, built in Japan and it has a very intermittant and very annoying rattle that seems to come from the inside back. It was only there during the Winter and the disappeared. I'm sure it will be back in a few months when it gets colder again. Other than that, it has been solid.

Mine is an 08 built in Japan and has the winter center of the dash rattle - it seems to be that the plastic shrinks in the cold and there basically are no attachment points under the windshield where the dash sits against metal just below the windshield, it is tight when it is warm, but get's loose when it is cold and rattles. I got some thick foam tape and slid it down between the windshield and the dash and then pulled off the backing so it would stick to the dash. Can't see it once it is installed and added enough to stop the rattle completely last winter!
