Canada Canadian 2010 HL VIN

Does anyone know how to decode the 2010 HL VIN? I'm curious where my HL is made.

A thread from the General Discussion forum. I think that's what you're looking for.

I was under the impression that some of the late 2009s and all 2010s were built in the USA. Curious what you find when you check your VIN.

Canadian 2010 HL VIN

Thanks for the reference TrailDust but it does not apply to the 2010 model year. My VIN starts with a 5.

Good to know. I'll have to look online and see if there's an easy tool to use, etc., for the latest model vehicles.

Edit: Here's a link to a Wiki entry about the VIN. According to that information your number starting with "5" means it was manufactured in the United States.

I believe mine is JTEES or something, I assume the J stands for Japan because mine is an 08'.

Aside from the VIN info, the label on the door pillar indicating tire pressure, also shows where your model was made - mine is an '09 - Made in Japan.
