Rust on tailgate.

I was cleaning the interior of my wife's '08 Highlander and had the rear glass popped open. I noticed a few, small bubbles on the sheet metal along the portion that's normally hidden by the glass. There's also some rust colored staining right on/near the bubbles.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? How is Toyota generally about this sort of thing? There is a 60 month perforation warranty but this isn't actually a perforation, yet.

Pretty disappointing really.

Ironically, our 2009 Blizzard Pearl HL had tiny little specs of rust on the tailgate. They were random and very very small, but being anal, I noticed them. We took it in to have them take a look and were told when we come back in to do our yearly Ziebart treatment, they would take care of them. We traded it in before the time came so I never know what happened.
