Hitch for HL SE AWD

Another HL question. I would like to get a hitch installed on my new 2010 HL SE AWD in anticipation of pulling a small boat around.

Where would folks suggest to get this done, at the dealer? Or can it be done substabtially cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks
Ken

You might want to look at the Modifications & Maintenance sticky, then navigate to the hitch section and look over the information there to see if doing it yourself is an option. The Valley Hitch install video gives a good idea about what's involved. Installing the hitch DIY will be far cheaper than a dealer would do it.

An aftermarket one like Valley brand is nice, but the factory ones look so much cleaner.

Here's the Factory one:

If you are somewhat handy, you could probably manage the install yourself. If your vehicle already has the tow prep package, the wiring part should be pretty straight forward.

EDIT:
You can probably find that item cheaper with a quick google search. I only listed that one as a reference.

I installed a Valley hitch on my 2010 Highlander this week. It was about $200 including wiring harness from etrailer.com. Free shipping. Two of the bolt holes were slightly misaligned. That required me to do a little filing. All's well that ends well.
