It is not possible, at least on my 2009 it was not. If you have a rear entertainment system, then you can play a DVD on the rear screen. BUt I believe (I don't have the rear entertainment system) that it is a seperate drive, so your NAV DVD stays in the one in the front.

All part of the Toyota Nanny Nav....

Further update. Seems that Toyota changed the nav in the 2011 Highlander. Seems there is a change for the part number for the 2011 - it seems to be called Gen 6 Part number 86271-GEN06-10. 86271-GEN05-10 is the part number for 2008-2010. So a disk from a 2011 Highlander will not work in a 2008-2010 Highlander.

Anyone have 86271-GEN05-10?

Well, I just got a flier from Toyota telling me to buy the newer version of the Nav cd for $199 but i own a 2009 ltd. This suggest that the 2011 cd may work on the 08 -10 models. I cant imgine they will keep two different kinds of the same version.

Yes, they do. Actually they have them for all the various generations, GEN4, GEN5 and now GEN6.

I have compared the file structures of the 2011 disk from a 10.1 2011 Highlander to the 9.1 2010 disk from a 2008-2010 and they are very different.

From the part numbers, I see that 2011 seems to come with GEN6 Nav system. 2008-2010 has Gen5. There are different part number for the GEN 6 disk than from the Gen 5 disk. When I put a GEN6 disk from an 2011 highlander into my 2009 GEN 5 and it would not work at all. Actually, it made it go completely nutz, would not eject the disk, radio would not work. Had to disconnect the battery to get it to eject.

There was a torrent out breifly for the GEN5 10.1, but no seeders now at all.

If you buy it, make sure you get the right version for your year or you will be stuck with a very expensive coaster!

Yes, Your U92 is a GEN 6 and the U35 is a GEN 5.

I have a U92 and need to make a copy of the files on the U92 disc. I have the U35 installed and working fine.

I have been successful in making copies; both by itself and with the 5.1 Loading.kwi hybrid disc. I make copies because I have more than one Toyota with GEN 5 and I am hoping to distribute the cost some.

I do need a copy of the GEN 6 U-92, though.
