Factory Crossbar

I have the factory crossbars. Is there a way to lock it ? I just bought a bike rack and a skybox to be placed on the crossbars. Would prefer that one is not able to completely remove the crossbars with my stuff on it (including the bike ).

using a cable lock around the crossbar and side rail or bike/box to side rail comes to mind.
You could still move the bar but the cable would prevent the bar from completely detaching from the rail.

Not a perfect solution but might help.

You should be able to drill the luggage bar's out and place pins through them with a lock on either side preventing removal all together.
